These wines were created by chef and River Cottage founder Hugh Fearnley-Whittingstall and Vincent Chansault, pioneering winemaker at Domaine Gayda in the Languedoc, France. The River Cottage range offers delicious, sustainable organic wines. It reflects a new, lighter style of winemaking and eco-friendly choices, including no foil and lighter bottles. The labels celebrate local birds, symbolising the estate's thriving biodiversity. A variety of plant cover crops between the vines and are constantly planting hedges surrounding the vineyards to protect us from the ravages of climate chaos.

Type & Grape: White - 50% Grenache Blanc, 35% Macabeu, 15% Chenin Blanc.

Origin: Languedoc, France

Tasting notes: The nose is fresh and crisp, combining white peach with delicate floral notes, lifted by a hint of fennel that adds an airy touch. On the palate, the attack is lively and precise, then broadens into a generous mouthfeel with flavours of fresh pineapple and green apple. The finish is elegant and persistent, lingering on fresh almond notes and leaving a fine sense of breadth.

Food Pairing: Hugh drinks it with olives and charcuterie, tomato salads, roast chicken with garlic and herbs, spring vegetable risotto, grilled and barbecued fish, especially mackerel, bass and bream.
