We’ve one new wine and the return of 2 old favourites this week.
From the North East of Italy we have the fabulous twosome of Valpolicella & Valpolicella Ripasso, both from the multi award winning Salvalai vineyard. Expect Sour Cherry and red berries from the straight Valpolicella, whilst you’ll get extra depth body and all round “oomph” from the Ripasso (think of it like a baby Amarone).
Next we have an organic wonder of a wine that comes in under €15.
It’s a gorgeous Viognier from the Languedoc region of Southern France. This is a little different from the usual style of wine that’s associated with the Rhone (oily, low acidity and quite high in alcohol) as this is crisp, fresh and delicious.
