Coffee Time Cafe Pop Up Night
Our New Year’s Resolution was to put more interesting events on in the evening.
Whilst we love to put on our own events, we also like to celebrate all that’s good in Donegal, and particularly when it comes to cafes who do things a little differently. With all this in mind we lined up one of our favourite cafes to take over our coffee shop space for the night. Not only to create a really good food experience, but also to promote places to go for food in Donegal that you might not have known about or wouldn’t head out without sampling first!
First up - the lovely Brandon from Coffee Time in Kilmacrennan and his crew!
You’ll note a few things from the menu…
1) It’s bloody delicious
2) It’s very much local produce driven (Brandon tries to source as much produce from within 10 miles of Kilmacrennan).
3) It’s a fusion of traditional Irish cuisine with modern cooking techniques.
4) He makes practically everything from scratch!
The last point is particularly incredible. The butter for the first course was made, smoked and fermented by Brandon. The Brioche bun for the burger - made by Brandon. The Beef Brisket - cured by Brandon. Man, I wouldn’t be surprised if he hand embroidered his apron! None of this was lost on the customers. They devoured every last morsel!
